Prescribers

Ernest A Flores, MD

Dr. Flores has been practicing medicine in New Mexico since 1984. He attended medical school at Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine and graduated with his medical degree. Dr. Flores’ internship was with Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, CA and his residency training was at University of California San Diego in the Department of Psychiatry. He is Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and is licensed in New Mexico and California. Dr. Flores has been the medical director for our agency since 2018. As a Hispanic psychiatrist, he has been able to provide state of the art and culturally sensitive psychiatric treatment to residents of southern New Mexico. Dr. Flores provides telemedicine services and is bilingual, Spanish/English.

Claudia Ruiz, PMHNP

Claudia Ruiz, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, has been with our agency since 2018. Claudia received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from New Mexico State University. She is licensed in New Mexico as a Certified Nurse Practitioner and is Board certified by ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center). Claudia has been a long time provider for our community mental health agencies. Claudia provides in person and telemedicine services.

D Joy Mynatt, DNP, CNP

Dr. Mynatt is a Certified Nurse Practitioner, Family Psychiatric Mental Health and is licensed in the State of New Mexico. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from New Mexico State University. Dr. Mynatt has worked with the agency since 2020 and is Board certified by ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center). Before starting with our agency, she worked many years as a Registered Nurse. Dr. Mynatt offers both in person and telemedicine services.

Jacquelyn Williams, CNP, CNS

Dr. Williams has been with the agency since 2018. She received her Master’s degree in Nursing and a Master of Public Health from New Mexico State University; and her Doctorate in Science of Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She is licensed in the State of New Mexico as both a Certified Nurse Practitioner and a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Dr. Williams is Board certified by ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center). She sees patients in person and via telemedicine.

Vickie Moore-Alvarez, CNS

Vickie Moore-Alvarez is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the psychiatric field and is licensed in the State of New Mexico. She earned her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Nursing all from New Mexico State University. Vickie is Board certified by ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center). Vickie has worked at various agencies, for NMSU and also had her own private practice. She has been with our agency since 2021. Vickie offers telemedicine services.

Dr. Amalia Humada-Ludeke
Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT

Dr. Humada-Ludeke is an independently licensed marriage and family therapist with an extensive background in pk-12 and post-secondary education. She has been trained systemically, both in the areas of leadership and family systems. Therefore, when working with individuals and families, Dr. Humada-Ludeke practices a systems approach to treatment, engaging in the therapeutic process as a client-centered, collaborative relationship. Her role is to co-construct therapeutic goals that can create a space for change to best support the client's journey.

Sandra Crane, LCSW

Sandra Crane has been working with our agency since 2018. She received a Bachelor of Arts from California State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University. She completed internships at McAfee Army Health Clinic and Children, Youth and Families Department. Sandra is licensed in the State of New Mexico and has been a long time therapist for our area. She works with our agency one day per week completing assessments to establish service compatibility. Sandra provides in office, in person services.

Mary Carder, PhD LMFT LADAC

Mary Carder is a marriage and family therapist. She enjoys assisting her patients in managing issues within their family and other relationships. Mary encourages her patients to discuss their emotions and experiences and helps in developing strategies and skills to cope with difficult situations and to change certain behaviors and teaches patients how to understand harmful thoughts and replace them with positive, life-enhancing ones.

Leanne Hancock, LMHC

Leanne Hancock has been working with our agency since 2022. Leanne received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, minor in Women’s Studies from New Mexico State University and her Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She is licensed in the State of New Mexico. Leanne is a resourceful and detail-oriented social services and behavioral health professional with strong analytical skills and demonstrated knowledge encompassing arenas of social work, crisis response and therapeutic methods. Leanne provides in person, in office or telemedicine services.

Taylor McCauley, LMHC

Taylor McCauley is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) holding a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western New Mexico University. With a commitment to creating a safe and nonjudgmental space, Taylor specializes in offering support and guidance across a broad range of mental health challenges. She values collaboration with her clients, ensuring they play an active role in their treatment journey. Taylor's approach emphasizes empowerment and personalized care, aiming to help individuals navigate their mental health with confidence and resilience.

Cindy Tollen, LMHC

Cindy Tollen is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), holding a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western New Mexico University. Cindy began working at our agency in 2023 as a counseling intern for two semesters and now is a full-time therapist. Cindy is driven by a passion for empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential. With a dynamic, collaborative approach to mental wellness, she integrates evidence-based practices by prioritizing our client's unique needs and perspectives. Whether navigating life's challenges or celebrating personal victories, Cindy is committed to fostering an environment where growth and healing thrive in a warm, non-judgmental space.

Sharon Paulowsky, LISW

Sharon Paulowsky has been working with the agency since 2018. Sharon has been a long time therapist for our community mental health agencies in Las Cruces. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from New Mexico State University in Social Work. She is licensed in the State of New Mexico. Sharon is well known throughout the community as an excellent therapist. She offers telemedicine services.

Albert Jacquez, LMSW

Albert Jacquez has been working with the agency since 2022. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and his Master’s degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University. He minored in Counseling and Educational Psychology. Albert is licensed in the State of New Mexico. Albert’s goals are to provide direct clinical services to individuals and families whose functioning levels are affected by social, psychological stress and/or addiction problems. Albert provides telemedicine services and is bilingual, Spanish/English.

Kyana Benjamin, Master Student Intern Therapist

Kyana Benjamin received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and International Studies and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Mexico State University. Kyana assists in building the capacity to discuss feelings and experiences and developing skills to cope with difficult situations and control their lives. She aims to create a safe, judgment-free space to explore feelings, beliefs, and goals. Kyana provides in-person, in-office or telemedicine services.
